Meeting with the Carrier Pigeons Music, Dance and Drama Group Leader, about promoting AIDS and Malaria prevention.

Victoria met the leader of the Carrier Pigeons who reported that the CD player donated by the UNESCO Youth Ambassador in January 2004 has proved very useful to the group in their work with schools. Discussion topics included interactive work with audiences during Carrier Pigeon performances.  The purpose of interactive work is to assist individuals in exploring the issues surrounding AIDS which relate to directly to their own lives, more thoroughly.

The Leader of the Carrier Pigeons said the group were open to working on issues of Malaria

prevention with Kabubbu Community Health Centre. The Quicken Trust have been contacted to facilitate the establishment of this partnership, as it was their idea.  The Quicken Trust have now agreed to pay travel expenses for the Carrier Pigeons to visit Kabubbu Community School on a termly basis to give performances on Malaria and AIDS prevention.

Glove puppets donated by the UNESCO Youth Ambassador will be presented to the Carrier Pigeons in the near future.
