Melanie visits Romania June, 2003

This trip was a follow up to the trip in March of this year.

I had very little time to do the things I wanted to do, because two trustees and myself went by coach, from Manchester to Budapest, and then to the border country. The journey took 56 hours.

When we arrived we were swarmed with children who ran excitedly to meet us. I had come to pay for the new building that we had acquired on our last visit, but things were not going so well. The owner of the building had doubled the price, and Pastor Dani & Kati had said no to the new costing. After a lot of praying and discussing, we went back to the original idea, of building a new purpose built  building, in the grounds of the existing house.

Dani could not endure the long coach trip back to England, so he gave his ticket, to a young man called Christian. Christian aged 19, more then welcomed the opportunity . Kati and Christian returned to England with us, so that Kati could attend a women's conference in Southport, The children of the village were looking healthy and happy, thanks to Dani & Kati's hard work.

There were 2 new babies born, and another 2 expected. One mother had waited 9 years for her baby, but after much prayer and faith, a baby boy was given. Kati stayed  with me for a week, and then returned with Christian, by coach the long journey home. Every body happy, and mission accomplished.

p.s. latest report from village, is that 4 village men are starting to lay the foundations of the new building...We're  building new, no matter how long it takes, or how much it will cost.
