Gayaza Cambridge college of St. Mbaaga has been excelling academically since its establishment and is still determined to produce the very best results in Uganda certificate of Education(O-level final examinations) and Uganda Advanced certificate of Education (for A- level) respectively.  In particular, out of the 20 students who sat A- level in 2005, seven were admitted to Makerere University and the remaining got admissions to other reputable Universities and tertiary institutions in Uganda.

In bid to broaden its academic frontiers, the college introduced science subjects at advanced level in 2005, which were not taught before. As a supplement to the usual subjects taught in all colleges and secondary schools in the country, the college introduced Computer lessons to all its students after obtaining a few computers from some of its friends.  This is to enable the students cope up with this era of computer technology.
