Angelique I have read the message  visited the website. I, as many others, believe in both the UN and wish for a world without conflict. Some days I reflect on the problems in the world and so many countries come to my mind, it nearly brings me to tears. I wish for the allocation of resources and hope that the 'Millennium Village' will promote peace and stability in Africa. California

May courageous and determined peace-loving leaders be able and are enabled to work for peace everywhere on our planet. A world without wars or conflicts is not a utopian dream if such leaders persevere for this noble cause. They will certainly be assisted by billions of peace-loving peoples in each and every country or territory.

Katja May a day of prosperity and world peace reach us all. Slovenia
Theodora  I wish all the leaders at the future to give importance to the welfare of the people and not to their ambitious plans. This will be the start for Peaceful world! Every success to your work which is really helpful! Cyprus
Hamish I do really appreciate your concern for peace.   It is true that peace can be achieved through collective responsibility from everybody in this world regardless of economic or military capability. The world belongs to all of us.. Tanzania

I am glad today I have the opportunity to express some of my feelings about Peace. I come from a multi national country where we have never thought of any difference between people, we all love one another for what we are. my best friend is just my best friend and nothing else would matter… I wish everyone would love, care and respect one another which is much more easier rather than hate, hurt and kill… Wish you all the best in your endeavours!

Hello! Many thanks of UNESCO for the help and support of children. I now live in England, but was born and have grown up  in Belarus. Therefore I understand as important to help each other. Your organization is worthy вохищения Таня Стома

Basically,  I understand that UNESCO is an UN agency responsible for the promotion of international collaboration on culture, education, and science globally.
As tomorrow 21st Sept.marks an important epoch on UN calendar, it is clear that UNESCO has contributed a lot in the field of education and science in the world. But on culture I have not seen much especially in sub-saharan Africa. If they will rethink and promote some of our rich culture to the level of the "Western style culture", am of the view that, the mass movement of people from West Africa  to Europe and America will be minimized.    Culture is dynamic though, the lost and abandoning of our traditional culture, to some extent accounts for our failure to check massive abuse of power on the part of the political leaders in this region, which requires local "eagle eye" rather than the so called modern democratic checks and balances.

We need UNESCO help to promote our good culture in order to maintain ourselves and falstall good governance and social justice in West Africa.  Thank you.

Thank you for sending me the link yesterday: the drawings of the children are really sweet and touching at the same time; children are innocent victims of violence but they are above all the future and the hope of the world and with their drawings they are showing to the world they know which is the right way.. Peace.

Teodora

As today is 21st September- so important day to the International Community, I would like to say that all the people in the world have to gather their efforts for making the world a better place where to live, stopping somehow the poverty in the world, trying to give the chance for all the children to grow in a peaceful environment...I am sure We-All the People- can do this, but only if We really want to... I am glad that an Organization like this is doing one of the biggest contributions for that.... Best Regards:

We should do what can only be done when passions are put to bear. In the end, it's more easy to fight than to make peace, to hate than to love, pay back than to forgive, to give up than to holdon. But easy things will always keep us weak. Hard things will make us strong. Peace making will make us strong, and it calls for us to put our passions to bear. One of the good things we can teach ourselves, and our children is that we can choose a good response no matter what the passions call for. We can choose to make peace where war would be forced upon us.

Tracy Let's have freedom from war and hurting innocent people. Let us stop our judgment. We should all live together and give peace a chance. Lebanon
